Comparison of the frames: STAR vs PULSAR
Choose your frame up to your preferences.
What do you think is better: iPhone or Android? PSP or Xbox? BMW or Mercedes? Yes, in such internet-disputes it is impossible to unambiguously decide – to each his own…

A similar comparison can be made in the SkyMax Paramotors line of paramotor systems. We have the robust and proven Star unit and the innovative Pulsar titanium unit, which has no analogues on the market. Let's compare them!

1. Pilot Level

Frame "Star" is suitable for both beginners and advanced pilots.

Frame "Pulsar" is only for advanced pilots with a flight time of at least 50 hours. It's all about the design of the frame itself, "Pulsar" requires more technical control.

2. Maintainability

Frame "Star" is more versatile, strong and modular, if something breaks, it's easy to change.

Frame "Pulsar" has a little more voluminous modularity, the nodes are larger than on the Star, so the replacement is a little more difficult.

3. Special advantages

Frame "Star" is equipped with fuel tank of up to 22 liters, solid, and the unit itself is larger than the Pulsar.

Frame "Pulsar", on the other hand, has the lowest possible weight (3.5 kg) and high compactness; the unit fits in a special travel suitcase.

4. Caging

Also, these two frames differ in cages (protective nets).

Frame "Pulsar" has large cells 90x90mm and a thin thread 0.6 or 0.8 mm. This is done to reduce aerodynamic drag, the Pulsar frame is faster.

Frame "Star" has smaller cells, 60x60 and the thread thickness is 1 mm. In addition, convenience is an important factor. On the Star the cage has hooks, but on the Pulsar it hasn't.

5. Emotions above!

But in fact, the sensations when flying on these two units are the same. If the pilot closes his eyes, he will not understand whether he is flying on the Star or on the Pulsar, so the only difference is on the ground.

Internet-dispute did not happen, our units do not have any contradictions among themselves. But we compared them, you can see more detailed characteristics of the frames on our website: http://skymaxppg.com/

What will happen if you add an atom + 90kg pilot + viper 4 16?
Right, you can fly very well, because the atom has enough thrust even for such a heavy pilot and such a small wing.
